chef's secret technique #1: 3 second nap


Next up! The new chef Innovator, Royston! With just potatoes, eggs and bacon, he has created the most sustainable and eco friendly dishes of the day! Applause for his vallant efforts in making simple yet delicious food.
Dish 1 Egg omelette with Bacon!




Dish 2 Pan-fried potato cubes with Bacon!

Dish 3 Oven baked Potato skins!

Ingredients:
Just eggs!
Just potatoes!
Just Streaky Bacon!
Butter

Instructions:
Dish 1 : Bacon Omelette
1) Season eggs with sesame oil salt and pepper.
2) Beat eggs
3) Heat pan with butter
4) pan fry bacon in pan to crisps.
5) add eggs into pan.
6) Flip when harden.
7) Serve hot with parsley as garnish

Dish 2 : Potatoe cubes with Bacon

1) Peel and dice potatoes
2) Heat pan with butter
3) Panfry bacon to crisp
4) Add diced potatoes and stir fry
5) serve when hot!

Dish 3: Crispy Baked Potato Peels

1) Collect Potato peels!
2) prepare pan with aluminum foil and buttered over surface
3) lay potato peels on pan and season with salt and pepper
4) Heat oven to 200 degrees and cook for approximately 10 mins.
5) Get a nice salsa dipping sauce!

Apologies to all my fellow chefs for the late post. At last I have the time and luxury to document this great culinary event. Without further ado, I shall introduce the new recipes that each chef has made.


First up, the exquisite fine dining dish,



Mango puree with Panfried Codfish

exquisite and delectable


Ingredients:

codfish

sesame oil, salt and pepper

lemon Wedge

Mango Puree (available in the supermarket)


Chef with ingredients (chef not included)


Instructions:

1) Season cod fish with sesame oil, salt and pepper

2) Squeeze lemon over fish.

3) Grill it!

4) Pour mango puree topping over the fish.

be careful with flipping your delicate fish


Or you can always flake it!

Spaguaytiao









Hi guys, this is chef aNG Here. this is my secret food before i prepare for my reservist.
Try it. Award winning local delights.







Presenting to you : Spaguaytiao

Ingredients
-Angmo NOOdles. ( up to u )
-Mushroom Dried ( 9 )
-garlic slices ( 64 pieces only. NO MORE NO LESS.)


Boil the water and place the angmo noodles inside. You can change to other type of noodles MEEPOK? mee kia? OR even beehoon.



About 12 mins. Muz ensure that thewater is hot.. use a thermometer k. 100 degree C. no more no less.

once done. wash ur noodle with runnig water. for more "Q" ness... use ice water.



Time to cook:

Use butter for better taste. LOW FAT butter.
Use small fire to prevent burning of the ingredients. i tried many times le.
THrow the 64 pieces of garlic inside. n smell the nice fragarant. do not over cook. then add in mushroom n stir..

Throw all ur cold noodles in n stire loh..
simple rite..

Special tips:
- Use a bit of salt.. not sugar.
-USE HIGH GRADE soyasauce. or called SHEN CHOU
SImple. no white whine use some 花雕酒

Egg Tart recipe
Ingredients:
Pastry:
125 gm.Butter - chilled
60 gm. icing sugar
1/2 egg white
1 egg yolk
200 gm. plain flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
A pinch of salt

Egg Custard:
280 gm. fresh milk
125 gm. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. rum
1/2 tsp. vanilla essence

Method:
(1) For pastry: beat butter and icing sugar till wellmixed.
(2) Add in white and yolk and mix.
(3) Add in vanilla essence and then the flour and mix into a dough. Rest for 10 mins. Press dough into small tart moulds.
(4) Bake the tart shell till half-cooked.(about 10 mins)
(5) For egg custard, heat sugar and milk together. Once sugar dissolves, off heat.
(6) Whisk eggs and pour into the milk mixture. Do not whisk till frothy.
(7) Add in rum and vanilla essence.
(8) Sift the egg custard and pour into tart moulds and bake at 175C till egg custard sets.
